ParticipantClarion Call to The Hands:
The Mend A City Movement recognizes that IAMN has no political power because it lacks organization and structure and economic solvency. Through the formation of IAMN focus will be given to Business, Commerce, Community and Education. Understanding that it will take consistent group economic practices and city development strategies to build IAMN ’s Cities across America. The Mend A City Movement calls out to every major city especially those which population is predominantly Black to send a representative or two, who can work as a TMACM staff member, assist in facilitating the summit meetings and discussions and be the recorder and reporter to the organized Mend A City Charter in their city. We want true power in a capitalist society. We want to be able to get ahead by creating our own businesses and owning things, which will then create our jobs. Controlling wealth and resources will also translate into additional political power.H: There is a vision of business districts and communities a Black Wall Street District. The Black Market Place. Indoor gardens and outdoor farmer’s markets, business incubators and marketplaces where products that are designed, created, manufactured and distributed by black businesses are sold. Proposal to build such complex in Las Vegas, people are coming to Las Vegas from all over the world. IAMN and it’s people are fascinating and entertaining and creative, and unique and exceptional in music, fashion, design, art, performance art, spoken word. Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world and there are millions of black folk traveling to Las Vegas every year on vacation. Millions of our black dollars are being spent in casinos, restaurants, hotels, and stores on the strip. The erecting of The Black Marketplace in Las Vegas featuring a variety of the products and services made available by businesses that participate in the conference will provide international exposure to their products on an continual basis and provide an alternative to black folk on vacation where they choose to spend their money and exercise their economic authority and power.
The Sixth Call is to The Hands. It’s a call out to our nation’s cities to send representatives for their city to come to Las Vegas for The Mend A City Movement Convention. To start chapters and begin building our communities across the country. This call lines up with the Political Action, Press and Publicity and Membership Committees. -
