Clarion Call to The Soul:
The Mend A City Movement recognizes the need for IAMN to be homeowners. In the past there have been several government programs that have given millions of acres of land to White Americans, there are documented incidents of homes stolen from black families and the FHA’s redlining practices which rendered black communities uninsurable and blacks were denied loans and insurance protection easily acquired by whites. The Mend A City Movement recognizes the gentrification of our black neighborhoods across the country. The Mend A City Movement Calls for all members of IAMN to come together to focus on home ownership. Which ultimately results in land ownership.
I: There are members of IAMN that have skill sets in the areas of construction, from independent contractors ( plumbers, carpenters, electricians, hvac installation, skilled and general labor) to general contractors, architects, designers, to mortgage brokers, loan officers, real estate investors, real estate professionals, brokers, appraisers, realtors, surveyors. Providing service and teaching IAMN ’s families about mortgages, financing, credit restoration and credit building, real estate investing and home building. The United States 2016 Census shows that only 41.1% of IAMN are homeowners, compared to 72.1% of whites who are homeowners. Through each area of expertise in Real Estate we will introduce strategies on how members of IAMN can implement a plan which objective is for them to become homeowners. The Mend A City Movement calls you to come and share your expertise to devise a plan of action that assists each member of IAMN to become a homeowner within 1 to 3 years.
The Call This call lines up with the Housing and Labor and Industry Committees. Homeownership is part of the American Dream.
